Windstar engine cuts off for a split second while driving?
I have a 1995 Ford Windstar. It has multiple problems that I need to fix; but she’s keeping me on the road. Anyway, yesterday while driving, the radio shut of for a split second and came back on. I thought it was a short in the radio, but the van also made a quick jump. I realized that the van was shutting off for a second, yet it resumed running right away.
It never completely stopped; but it definitely paused and shut of the radio and lights.
It starts with no problem and runs pretty smooth for a 95.
This shut off and on thing is scary though.
Any ideas?
Check your grounds and make sure your battery terminals are tight. It sounds like the battery is loose. But it could be alot of promblems these are two you can start with that are cheap to check and repair.
